New Universal Mobile Pay App Launches In France

Lyf Pay, a universal mobile payment app, is being launched in France this week, bringing greater convenience and simplicity to consumers’ daily lives.

A press release announced the app is available for all smartphones on May 18. A product of last year’s merger of Fivory and Wa!, this unique initiative brings together the leading players in their respective fields — BNP Paribas, Carrefour, Crédit Mutuel*, Auchan, Mastercard, Oney and Total.

Developed in conjunction with retailers, Lyf Pay aims to create an easy-to-use and streamlined experience for customers. The app covers a broad set of needs — including in-store payments, ranging from small local shops to large retail chains; online shopping; friends and family payments and even charitable donations. It also integrates payment cards, loyalty cards and coupons, as well as displays news flashes from users’ favorite shops, alerting them of special offers.

Lyf Pay has won the approval and backing of leading retail groups, such as Auchan Retail France and Total, plus a number of independent traders and partners, such as events specialists, as well as charity and student organizations. The app is non-proprietary and can be installed on any type of smartphone.
